Our Food

All of our dishes are freshly prepared on the premises and use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Our Chefs create their own dishes for our seasonal menus using local suppliers which means we can take advantage of the excellent local produce that Norfolk has to offer. 

Our meat is provided by Swannington Farm to Fork, a multi award winning butchers run by the Mutimer family who have been rearing pigs outdoors since the 1970s. Their meat has an exceptionally low 'carbon footprint' using the local abbatoir located just three miles away.

All of our pork based products are sourced from pigs situated on the farm including our bacon, sausages and honey roast ham. The steak mince used to make our burgers and chilli con carne are also local to Swannington. Our Sunday roasts meats are also supplied by Swannington Farm consisting of 21 day matured beef topside, pork loin and whole chickens for our ever popular Sunday roasts.

Direct Seafoods supply our fish and seafood which is exceptionally fresh including dressed Cromer crabs and local mussels (when in season) and fresh hake for our beer battered fish and chips which is always a popular choice.

Our fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs are from East Anglian family business Barsby Produce, much of which is grown in Norfolk and East Anglia and delivered to us on a daily basis.

We produce all of our own sauces and chutneys in-house, with some of these available to buy to take home under our Yareside brand such as our red onion marmalade, sweet chilli sauce, brown sauce, tomato chutney & picalilli.

Our desserts are all home made with our dessert menu changing on a weekly basis, although regularly featuring favourites such as our dark chocolate brownie and varieties of cheesecake. We also have a cheeseboard and a variety of ice cream and fruit sorbet always available.

In accordance with new legislation brought in December 2014, we can provide allergy information for all of our dishes. We can also eliminate ingredients in order to cater for food allergies as all of our dishes are cooked to order. If you do suffer from a food allergy please make sure that you make your waiter or waitress aware when ordering your meal so we can cater for you accordingly and recommend alternatives to suit you from our menu. As a rule we have gluten free alternatives such as bread and gravy always available.
